Trivia Dinners!

Many things in life are trivial but we take our three course dinner and Trivia Contests seriously!!! Sit at tables of eight! You will be competing with other tables in the room for prizes. Six rounds of trivia...see which tables get the most points! This is a fun night and we will have many themes. Our Year long leader board will show who ranks on top and returns for the Trivia Tournament of Champions. Don't miss this opportunity for a fun evening in a historic space. The Propylaeum Couples Club

For you empty nesters, couples that want to meet new couples or just have a general fun night out. We are starting a Couples Club! The 2nd Friday of each month. Limited to 50 couples.

You will sit with people you do not know but it will be fun to meet new friends. All events start at 7:00pm. A description of the event can be found on this page.

$40 a couple plus tax and gratuity

Make it a regular date night and join the Couples Club for special events and offers.
(Membership in the Couples Club is tax deductible and goes to The Indianapolis Propylaeum Historic Foundation. Annual Dues are $24 a couple)

Pay What You Can

Times are tough. But a family still needs to spend time together in a beautiful Location. Join us Sunday at 4:00pm for our Pay What You Can Family Dinners.

Have a three course Meal, a few manners lessons and enjoy time with your family. A great event for grandparents to share stories of the past and include their children and grandchildren.

At the end you will be given an envelope to pay what you can for the event. No credit cards are excepted and the envelope will be dropped in a box to be opened later.

Backwards Dinners

How do you spell desserts backwards... why "stressed" of course.  Have some fun and let your family or friends learn some new etiquette lessons.

This dinner starts with the invitation to wear your clothing backwards, tour our Victorian house...you guessed it backwards.......and enjoy a three course meal and the 30 points of etiquette....backwards.   The utensils are in the wrong places, we start with dessert, but everything rights itself with a review and a placemat for everyone to keep at the end. Everyone will remember when all backwards items are "fixed"!

Enjoy an evening of dinner and wine paired with an art class at the Indianapolis Propylaeum for $38. This downtown location combines an elegant Victorian setting with delightfully decadent food. You'll be treated to a salad, your choice of three magnificent main courses, a glass of wine, and a divine dessert. Beer Flights at The Propylaeum

Oh my, it is time for beer. Everyone loved it last year so we are back at it.   Come to the Propylaeum and experience why beers are so popular.

Teen Mystery Dinner

Detective TMD is on the Job... Teen Mystery Dinner. Grab a group of friends and try and solve the Mystery of the Lost Tea Cups.  This is a great time for a birthday party or other celebration.  You will be treated to a five course dinner and then you will try and solve the mystery.  Each teen at the table will have a part and prizes will be awarded.  Takes about three hours, but oh, so much fun!  Become a detective and follow the clues. 12 -18 years of age.

Interactive Mystery Dinners

Dinner conversation is never boring when one enjoys a meal and a "whodunit." Enjoy a five course dinner as all at the table assume new personas and attempt to solve the crime dujour for $50 per person. Check out our menus and our plot lines. See if there is a little "Sherlock" in you. Tour  the house starting at 6pm, dinner at 7:00pm and lasts about 3 hours. Each show takes place at the Indianapolis Propylaeum and features one of the following themes:

Where the birthday child is "Queen or King for a Day";  the children get a crown, royal cup cakes, tea and a story. This is a very special party.

Ages 5 to 7
RoyalTea - $150 for 8 kids and one adult.

Extra children are $18 and adults are $18 (adults do not get a crown.

Ages 8 to 12
